Travis Dalton, president of Cerner‘s (Nasdaq: CERN) government services business, has been appointed to also serve as chief client and services officer as part of a leadership shakeup at the health care technology maker, The Kansas City Star reported Friday.
He has led the CGS unit since 2012 and oversees Cerner’s work on the $4.3B Defense Healthcare Management Systems Modernization contract, the Pentagon’s multiyear effort to deploy commercial electronic health records technology across the Military Health System.
In his other capacity, Dalton is responsible for client relationship management, sales, consulting, hosting and client success functions.
The two-decade Cerner veteran previously served as head of consulting and operations for the company’s investor-owned division and helped establish its consulting practice for West and Canada regions.
Dan Devers, most recently senior vice president of cloud strategies and chief intellectual property officer of Cerner, transitioned to a new role as chief legal officer, according to The Kansas City Star.
He previously led the health care technology provider’s cloud modernization strategy and its cloud partnership with Amazon Web Services.
