Carlos Hernandez Confirmed as Fluor CEO

Carlos Hernandez, who was named interim CEO at Fluor (NYSE: FLR) on May 1, has been confirmed by the board of directors as full-time CEO of the company.

Fluor said Thursday Hernandez will also join the company™s board of directors.

œCarlos™ engineering and legal background, combined with his 12 years successfully serving in executive leadership roles at Fluor, makes him uniquely qualified to lead the company and our team of talented global professionals, said Alan Boeckmann, Fluor™s executive chairman.

Hernandez previously served as executive vice president, chief legal officer and corporate secretary of Fluor prior to his appointment as acting CEO.

He joined the engineering firm in 2007 after serving as general counsel at ArcelorMittal™s U.S. subsidiary. He also held legal counsel roles at International Steel Group, Fleming Companies and Armco.

The company also announced the appointment of John Reynolds, a 30-year Fluor veteran, as chief legal officer.
