The U.S. Army has awarded Carahsoft Technology a potential $247.7M basic ordering agreement for cloud services to support the military branchs efforts to consolidate data centers and modernize its information technology infrastructure.
The Army Cloud Computing Enterprise Transformation BOA includes task orders for cloud migration and IT modernization support and covers infrastructure-as-a-service, software-as-a-service and platform-as-a-service offerings under Carahsofts portfolio, the company said Tuesday.
ACCENT is an important step in the Armys transition to the cloud and the larger drive toward deploying cloud services across the government, said Craig Abod, president of Carahsoft and a 2019 Wash100 Award recipient.
Cloud offerings covered by the ACCENT BOA are Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program-certified and have a Defense Information Systems Agency-issued provisional authorization status. Vendors under Carahsofts portfolio include Amazon Web Services, Google, FireEye (Nasdaq: FEYE), SAP National Security Services, Salesforce (NYSE: CRM), ServiceNow (NYSE: NOW) and VMware.
The BOA’s performance period will run through February 2020.
