The U.S. Army has awarded Carahsoft Technology a potential $247.7M basic ordering agreement for cloud services to support the military branch™s efforts to consolidate data centers and modernize its information technology infrastructure.
The Army Cloud Computing Enterprise Transformation BOA includes task orders for cloud migration and IT modernization support and covers infrastructure-as-a-service, software-as-a-service and platform-as-a-service offerings under Carahsoft™s portfolio, the company said Tuesday.
œACCENT is an important step in the Army™s transition to the cloud and the larger drive toward deploying cloud services across the government, said Craig Abod, president of Carahsoft and a 2019 Wash100 Award recipient.
Cloud offerings covered by the ACCENT BOA are Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program-certified and have a Defense Information Systems Agency-issued provisional authorization status. Vendors under Carahsoft™s portfolio include Amazon Web Services, Google, FireEye (Nasdaq: FEYE), SAP National Security Services, Salesforce (NYSE: CRM), ServiceNow (NYSE: NOW) and VMware.
The BOA’s performance period will run through February 2020.
