Cadmus to Expand Federal Footprint With Wheelhouse Group Acquisition; Ian Kline Quoted

Cadmus has acquired Wheelhouse Group for an undisclosed sum as part of efforts to expand its presence in the federal market and broaden its offerings across the areas of organizational change management, workforce transformation, stakeholder engagement and communications and enterprise optimization.

Beth McDonald, co-founder and president of Wheelhouse, will become a senior vice president and lead the strategy and transformation line of business that will be formed within Cadmus’ U.S. public sector division as a result of the transaction, Cadmus said Wednesday.

Wheelhouse Co-Founder and CEO Laurie Axelrod will help integrate the company into Cadmus and offer consulting support post-integration.

Ian Kline, president and CEO of Cadmus, said Wheelhouse’s consultants are skilled when it comes to delivering stakeholder-focused guidance that leaders need to drive transformative actions within their organizations.

Wheelhouse supports the departments of the Treasury, Education, Interior and Labor and other federal agencies and industry clients in various initiatives, including cloud adoption, customer experience, DevSecOps, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence integration.

Wheelhouse tapped investment bank Evergreen Advisors in the deal. Zarren Law Group and KWC offered legal and accounting support, respectively.

Cadmus is a strategic and technical consultancy with more than 700 consultants focused on supporting clients across governments, energy utilities and private sector.
