The General Services Administration has awardedCACI International (NYSE: CACI) a potential five-year, $1.77 billion task order for analytical operations, intelligence and training support services to the Joint Improvised-Threat Defeat Organization.
CACI will support JIDO’s global Focused Support/Decisive Effort that aims to help joint forces integrate technologies, skills and lessons learned into their fight against terrorists, insurgents and other adversaries that use improvised explosive devices, the Defense Departmentsaid Monday.
The company will perform work in Virginia and the National Capital Region as well as deploy personnel to support deployed U.S. troops worldwide on an as-needed basis.
GSA’s federal systems integration and management center received two offers for the task order under the Pool 4 category of the One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services contract vehicle.
The obligated amount of $12.1 million at the time of award is from joint IED defeat funds and other department and agency contributions, according to DoD.
CACI is scheduled to complete work under the order by Oct. 30, 2021.

JIDO, formerly known as the Joint Improvised-Threat Defeat Agency, rebranded earlier this month and integrated into the Defense Threat Reduction Agency to comply with the 2016 National Defense Authorization Act.
