CACI International(NYSE: CACI) has won a potential three-year, $173 million task order from the U.S. Army to develop simulation and modeling tools for sensor and imaging systems.
The company said Thursday it will support the Army’s Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate under the task order that was awarded through the Rapid Response – Third Generation contract vehicle.
CACI President and CEO Ken Asbury, an inductee into Executive Mosaic‘s Wash100 for 2017, said the company will continue to help NVESD deliver reconnaissance and surveillance technologies to service members under the task order.
NVESD functions as the Army’s œNight Vision Lab at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, and develops night vision and other sensor platforms for U.S. armed forces to perform missions during nighttime and in areas with limited visibility conditions.
Under the task order, CACI will support the directorate’s efforts to assess the effectiveness of sensor system technologies and concepts as well as bolster the military’s sensor system training.
