CACI International has received a $212 million task order to modernize digital infrastructure across 14 U.S. Space Force installations. The Department of the Air Force Chief Information Officer announced the award on LinkedIn Wednesday.
Enhancing Space Force Connectivity
Under the Base Infrastructure Modernization, or BIM, Task Order 3, CACI will integrate advanced technologies to strengthen zero trust architecture, enable cloud capabilities and boost contested domain readiness. This effort aims to modernize classified and unclassified network infrastructure for resilient, high-throughput connectivity nationwide across all Space Force bases.
The task order includes these Space Force installations:
Patrick Space Force Base
Buckley SFB
Cape Canaveral Space Force Station
Cape Cod SFS
Cavalier SFS
Cheyenne Mountain SFS
Kaena Point SFS
Los Angeles Air Force Base
New Boston SFS
Peterson SFB
Schriever SFB
Vandenberg SFB
Clear SFS
Pituffik Space Base
Achieving Cost Reduction Benchmarks
The $212 million task order was awarded at 77 percent below the initial government estimate, reflecting cost-saving strategies developed through collaboration between Air Force Materiel Command and the Department of Government Efficiency.
Ensuring Smooth Integration and Monitoring
CACI will closely coordinate with USSF leadership to ensure smooth integration and minimal disruption to operations. Oversight teams will track progress to ensure interoperability, cybersecurity and alignment with enterprise standards.
Prior BIM Task Order Awarded to CACI
CACI secured a similar five-year, $180 million BIM task order in September to manage and upgrade the Pacific Air Forces’ Base Area Network, enhancing communications across the Pacific theater.
