A subsidiary of CACI International (NYSE: CACI) has received a potential five-year, $179.9 million contract to help the U.S. Special Operations Command gather, analyze and exploit geospatial imagery intelligence.
The Defense Departmentsaid Mondaythat CACI-Athena Inc. will perform work in various U.S. locations and overseas under SOCOM’s Joint Geospatial Analyst Support Service program.
The command’s contracting office re-awarded the JGASS contract to the company as a result of corrective action following a protest to the firm-fixed-price contract originally awarded in late 2014.
SOCOM will use fiscal 2016 operations and maintenance funds for the acquisition program.
The Pentagon expects work to finish Feb. 28, 2021.
