CACI Gets $70M Navy Weapon Assessment Support Order; John Mengucci Quoted

CACI International (NYSE: CACI) will help the U.S. Navy assess weapon and combat systems under a potential five-year, $70M task order awarded through the service branch’s SeaPort-e contract vehicle. The company said Thursday that it will work with the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Corona Division, in efforts to ensure acquisition readiness of combat equipment and evaluate system performance.

John Mengucci, president and CEO of CACI, said the company has a team of engineers and technical professionals who can support NSWC and help the center maintain its status as the Navy’s independent analysis and assessment organization.

The task order extends work CACI performs at the center, where the company helped update test safety systems in the past year under the Clear Decks Initiative. A team of Navy and CACI engineers built a remote-control telemetry platform that works to monitor missile flight paths when the service branch conducts live-fire drills.
