The federal business of CACI International (NYSE: CACI) has landed a potential $92.56 million foreign military sales contract with the U.S. Navy to perform technical engineering work for the Canadian Surface Combatant program.
CACI secured an initial $11 million to support the CSC project until February 2024, with options for additional task orders that could extend the work until 2028, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
The CSC project is part of Canada’s pledge to invest in 15 ships to equip the country’s armed forces in missions such as counter-piracy, counterterrorism and humanitarian aid. The new vessels will replace Iroquois-class destroyers and the Halifax-class frigates.
Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington, D.C., did not conduct a competitive procurement of the program support services in accordance with U.S. international agreement laws.
