John Hyten, a retired U.S. Air Force general who has served on C3 AI‘s (NYSE: AI) advisory board member since June 2022, has been designated as special adviser to Thomas Siebel, CEO of the software provider.
Hyten will advise the chief executive on efforts to grow C3 AI’s work with defense and intelligence agencies, the company said Tuesday.
“During my time on the advisory board, I have seen how impressive C3 AI’s technology is and how it can transform the defense industry, bolstering our national and economic security,” said the former Joint Staff vice chairman and U.S. Strategic Command chief.
The four-decade USAF veteran was selected to Executive Mosaic’s annual Wash100 list of influential figures in the government contracting sector in 2017 and 2018.
