BT Federal and L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) have received a three-year authority to operate from the General Services Administration after completing business support system tests under GSA’s Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions program.
Both companies can now begin to receive task orders, provide services and bill federal customers through the EIS contract, GSA said Wednesday.
The agency evaluated the two vendors’ BSS functions and security measures as part of the authorization process.
GSA originally awarded 10 positions on the potential 15-year, $50B acquisition vehicle for worldwide telecommunication services in August 2017.
L3Harris inherited the contract spot from Harris, which completed its all-stock merger with L3 Technologies in July.
