In his new role, Sells will lead product development, technology strategy and delivery of the company’s RFID, GPS tagging and sensor mesh technologies. He will oversee research and development efforts for advanced hardware and software while managing platform design, implementing deployment strategies and driving innovation and market growth.
Before his promotion, Sells was the technical program manager for RFID/IoT solutions, enabling the Army and Navy to harness RFID technology for asset tracking and logistics. He was also the technical and product adviser for next-generation command and control.
Brian Sells’ Pre-LMI Career
Before joining LMI, Sells founded Victoso, an IT recruitment firm that specialized in connecting tech startups with software engineers, UX researchers and designers, and product managers. Sells also worked at Raft for over a year as director of operations, overseeing strategy and execution across operations, finance, human resources and IT.
Sells served in the Army’s 75th Ranger Regiment for nearly four years, holding leadership positions such as director of innovation and training, commander of Ranger Company and battalion training officer. He was also an Infantry Officer for over seven years.
