Boeing (NYSE: BA) has received a $101.7 million contract modification from the U.S. Air Force to provide interim contractor support and assign logistics service representatives at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in North Carolina where the KC-46 Pegasus refueling aircraft is stationed.
The award exercises options on the contract for engineering, manufacturing and development of the KC-46 tanker and has an expected completion date of June 27, 2022, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
At Seymour Johnson AFB, Boeing will provide field service representatives support for the 916th Air Refueling wing, which is the first Air Force Reserve Command to receive the tanker.
Work will be conducted in Seattle, Washington, aside from the military base.
The company is being obligated the full contract modification amount from fiscal 2021 aircraft procurement funds at the time of award. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center serves as the contracting activity.
