Boeing Secures $398M Contract for Saudi AWACS Fleet Modernization's 2nd Phase

Boeing (NYSE: BA) has received a $397.9 million sole-source contract to move into the second phase of an airborne warning and control system aircraft modernization program for Saudi Arabia’s air force.

The company will provide production, training, installation and checkout services to ensure interoperability of the Saudi E-3 AWACS fleet with U.S. Air Force systems and maintain aircraft viability through 2040, the Department of Defense said Thursday.

Boeing will perform work under the firm-fixed-price contract at facilities in Oklahoma and Saudi Arabia through Feb. 21, 2026.

The AF Life Cycle Management Center in Massachusetts is the contracting activity and is obligating foreign military sales funds on the award.

Saudi asked to procure support services for the AWACS modernization program through a $2 billion FMS deal the State Department approved in 2014.
