Boeing‘s (NYSE: BA) defense, space and security business has received a pair of contracts worth $3.14 billion combined to manufacture a total of 19 KC-46A aerial refueling aircraft for the U.S. Air Force and Israel.
USAF ordered 15 tankers along with data, subscriptions and licenses under a $2.2 billion lot eight production contract that will run through Nov. 30, 2025, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
Under the second award, valued at $927.5 million, the company will provide four tankers to Israel and perform non-recurring engineering work on version 2.0 of the Remote Vision System and the Air Refueling Operator Station.
The foreign military sale also includes installation services, pre-delivery integrated logistics support and technical publications.
Work under both contracts will occur at Boeing’s Seattle facility. The AF Life Cycle Management Center is the contracting activity these procurement efforts.
