A joint venture ofBoeing (NYSE: BA) and Textron‘s (NYSE: TXT) Bell Helicopter subsidiary has secured a $138.6 million delivery order modification for non-recurring engineering services to support the integration of Japan’s configuration into the MV-22B Block C aircraft and MV-22 containerized flight training device.
Bell-Boeing Joint Project Office will also support the development, qualification test, airworthiness substantiation, flight test demonstration, verification and procurement of kits for the configuration, the Defense Departmentsaid Friday.
Work will occur in various locations within and outside the U.S. through December 2019.
The Naval Air Systems Command is the contracting activity and obligated the full amount of the modification from foreign military sales funds at the time of award.
