Boeing Receives $123M USAF KC-135 Tailplane Supply Contract

The Defense Logistics Agency has awarded Boeing (NYSE: BA) a $122.7 million contract to procure horizontal stabilizers for the U.S. Air Force’s KC-135 aerial refueling and airlift platform.

The firm-fixed-price, fixed-quantity contract has a performance period of six years and two months, the Department of Defense said Monday.

DLA’s aviation branch will use fiscal 2022 defense working capital funds for the sole-source acquisition effort. Work under the contract will take place in Oklahoma and Missouri through April 30, 2028.

The Air Force KC-135 fleet has supported military aerial refueling and airlift operations for more than six decades, according to the service branch.
