Boecore has won a potential five-year, $93 million contract from the U.S. Air Force to sustain, operate and maintain a shared early warning system designed to alert the U.S., NATO and foreign partner nations of ballistic missile launches.
Seven offers were submitted to the Air Force for the SEWS support indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract and work will occur at Peterson AF Base in Colorado through June 30, 2022, the Defense Departmentsaid Friday.
SEWS currently supports U.S. Strategic Command, State Department and Air Force Space Command missions, according to a request for proposal notice published in October 2016.
DoD noted the recompete contract includes foreign military sales to combatant commands and combatant command-sponsored foreign partners.
