Biniam Gebre Joins Accenture as Federal Mgmt Consulting Group Lead

Biniam Gebre, formerly a partner at management consulting firm Oliver Wyman, has been named managing director of the management consulting group within Accenture‘s (NYSE: ACN) federal services business.

Accenture said Wednesday Gebre has previously worked with multiple agencies and financial institutions to help them increase operational or organizational performance.

“Biniam’s expertise as both an adviser and government leader will be indispensable in helping our government clients apply next generation insights driven by data analysis, intelligent automation and artificial intelligence to revolutionize service delivery and redefine their relationship with the citizen,” said David Moskovitz, CEO of Accenture Federal Services.

Before he joined Oliver Wyman, Gebre was acting assistant secretary and commissioner of the Federal Housing Administration, where he led the agency’s management and reorganization efforts.

He also worked as a partner at McKinsey & Co. with responsibility over the consulting firm’s public sector and banking and securities practices.

Additionally, Gebre helped establish the McKinsey Center for Government and managed the Capabilities for Execution initiative there.
