Bill Clark, chief operating officer of Boeing‘s (NYSE: BA) Insitu subsidiary, has been appointed as interim CEO of the unmanned aircraft system maker, Hood River News reported Tuesday.
The report said Clark succeeds Ryan Hartman, who stepped down as Insitu CEO on Feb. 1 due to “personal reasons.”
As COO, Clark oversees the production, supply chain, integrated logistics and quality organizations for the ScanEagle and Integrator UAS programs.
He joined Insitu in 2008 as vice president of emerging programs, where he oversaw the design and development of the Integrator UAS.
The more than 30-year aerospace industry veteran previously worked at Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) as vice president of special programs and as program director of the Advanced Technology Development Center.
Clark started his career at Lockheed Martin‘s (NYSE: LMT) Skunk Works division, where he worked on various aerospace projects such as the F-117A, YF-22, SR-71, U-2, Sea Shadow, X-33 and VentureStar platforms.
