Beyond New Horizons Secures $102M Air Force Test Operations, Sustainment Contract Modification

The U.S. Air Force has awarded Beyond New Horizons a $101.6 million modification to a previously awarded Test Operations and Sustainment II contract, increasing the TOS II contract value from $3.86 billion to $3.96 billion. 

According to the Department of Defense, the modification provides for test operations, technology development, equipment and facility sustainment, capital improvements and support services for Arnold Engineering Development Complex.

Work will be performed at Arnold Air Force Base in Tennessee through Sept. 30, 2036.

The Air Force Test Center obligated fiscal 2024 research and development funds and fiscal 2025 operations and maintenance and research and development funds at the time of award. 

TOS II Contract

Beyond New Horizons secured the base contract in March 2024, requiring test operations, technology development, equipment and facility sustainment and capital improvements for the Arnold AFB, the National Full Scale Aerodynamics Complex in California, White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio and a location in White Oak, Maryland. 

The TOS II contract will also provide support to the National Radar Cross-Section Test Facility, Landing Gear Test Facility and Aerospace Vehicle Survivability Facility starting April 2026.
