Beyond New Horizons has secured a potential 12-year, $3.8 billion contract from the U.S. Air Force to provide test operations and sustainment support services for the Arnold Engineering Development Complex in Tennessee.
The contractor will help AEDC personnel carry out test operations, technology development, equipment and facility sustainment and capital improvements, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
Work will occur at Arnold Air Force Base in Tennesse, the National Full Scale Aerodynamics Complex in California, White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio and a location in White Oak, Maryland.
The TOS II contract will also provide support to the National Radar Cross-Section Test Facility, Landing Gear Test Facility and Aerospace Vehicle Survivability Facility starting April 2026, according to solicitation documents.
Support services for the Arnold AFB, Tunnel 9, and the NFAC will commence in July.
The Air Force Test Center received three bids for the cost-plus-award-fee contract and will obligate $5 million in fiscal 2024 research, development, test and evaluation funds.
