Textron‘s (NYSE: TXT) Bell Helicopter subsidiary has received a $170.2 million contract modification to produce and deliver additional AH-1Z aircraft to the government of Pakistan under the foreign military sales program.
The company will build nine AH-1Z and nine auxiliary fuel kits under a contract with the U.S. Navy, the Defense Departmentsaid Monday.
Bell Helicopter will manufacture the aircraft in Fort Worth and Amarillo in Texas through September 2018.
The AH-1Z Zulu helicopter incorporates a target sight system, glass cockpits compatible with night-vision goggles, a forward-looking infrared system, an electronic warfare self-protection system and other avionics.
