The Association of the U.S. Army has welcomed Lisa Atherton, president and CEO of Textron‘s (NYSE: TXT) Bell business, as the latest addition to the organization’s board of directors.
Atherton replaced Mitch Snyder, a Bell veteran who retired from the company in April and the AUSA board, the non-profit said Friday.
The new board director brings experience in leading a multibillion-dollar business that caters to global customers. Atherton was chief operating officer of Bell before assuming Snyder’s posts following his retirement. Her career also includes time serving as president and CEO of Textron Systems and supporting Air Combat Command’s Directorate of Requirements.
Aside from the addition of the Textron Corporate Leadership Team member, AUSA also reelected the following:
Larry Jordan, a retired lieutenant general who was deputy commander of Army Training and Doctrine Command
Christopher Kubasik, chair and CEO of L3Harris Technologies
Thomas Rabaut, an operating executive with the Carlyle Group
Dennis Reimer, a retired general who served as Army chief of staff
AUSA executed the board moves during the June 26 meeting and the terms started July 1.
