Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp. and Infoscitex have received contract modifications worth $75 million combined to continue to provide research and development support in the areas of human perception and cognitive technologies for the U.S. Air Force.
The Air Force Research Laboratory awarded the modifications to a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract in support of the service branch™s Human Interface Research and Technology program, the Defense Departmentsaid Thursday.
The program seeks to develop cognitive platforms that will work to provide warfighter decision-making and situational awareness capabilities to help the service branch perform synchronized operations in space, air and cyber space.
The companies will perform work at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and Dayton, Ohio, through May 28, 2020, according to DoD.
