Hakimdavar and McIntyre will work in support of the company’s Washington operations, Ball Aerospace said Wednesday.
Hakimdavar, former acting national program lead for remote sensing, monitoring and geospatial research at the U.S. Forest Service, will oversee Ball Aerospace’s civil space efforts and relationships with stakeholders such as NASA, the Office of Science and Technology Policy and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
McIntyre, who served as deputy director of the Office of Space Launch at the National Reconnaissance Office, will work with stakeholders in the executive branch and Congress to advocate for Ball Aerospace’s intelligence and defense programs.
Deirdre Walsh, vice president of strategic operations at Ball Aerospace, said both appointees bring “extensive knowledge and experience “ in public and private sector operations to help the company in its efforts.
Hakimdavar joined USFS as a presidential management fellow in 2016 and served as a hydrologist at the agency in 2018, according to her LinkedIn profile.
She also spent time at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, Fluor (NYSE: FLR), the World Bank Group and the United Nations.
