BAE Systems has secured a position on a five-year, $34.9M contract from the U.S. Navy to help the Naval Air Warfare Center's Aircraft Division sustain command, control, communications, computers, cyber, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance platforms.
The company said Thursday it will provide sustainment and support services for embedded C5ISR systems in watercraft, communications equipment and vehicles managed by NAWCAD.
Services under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract are intended to help increase military personnel's situational awareness.
Mark Keeler, vice president and general manager of BAE's integrated defense solutions business, said the company has provided lifecycle sustainment and technical support services to NAWCAD over the past four decades.
"We understand the need for quick reaction field support to ensure our military customers are mission ready and maintain a tactical edge," Keeler added.
Contract work will take place in forward-deployed mission areas such as Africa Command areas of responsibility.
