He will concurrently serve as a senior program manager based in Dewberry’s Fairfax, Va., office and brings more than three decades of business development and program management experience in the spatial domain, the company said Tuesday.

Dewberry also named Mike Sutherland, formerly an associate scientist at the Cooperative Institute for Research and Environmental Sciences, as a senior geospatial analyst.
He will be based in Denver and oversee the quality of lidar projects, staff training in the coastal and topobathymetric domain, and development of an information processing workflow.
Alvan Karlin, a former senior GIS scientist at the Southwest Florida Water Management District, has been appointed to work in Dewberry’s Tampa, Fla., office as a senior GIS professional.
The two-decade geospatial and remote sensing industry veteran has authored multiple research articles and also teaches biology at University of Tampa.
