A BAE Systems business unit has received a potential five-year, $72M contract to support air traffic control and landing systems on ships or at shore facilities of the U.S. Navy.
BAE’s technology solutions and services group will provide equipment modification, system safety work, quality assurance, test bed operations and technical support services to the Naval Air Warfare Center-Aircraft Divisions ATCALS team, the Defense Departmentsaid Tuesday.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity also covers operational software, repair, fabrication, restoration, training and local area network support work.
NAWCAD received one offer for the project and will obligate funds upon issuance of task orders.
The Pentagon expects the company to finish work by October 2023.
