A business unit of BAE Systems has received a potential $41.3 million contract to help the U.S. Navy develop, integrate and maintain new or existing communication-electronic platforms, equipment and subsystems.
Work also covers rapid design, customization, fabrication, test, evaluation, installation, certification, maintenance, logistic, upgrade, and life cycle support services, the Defense Departmentsaid Tuesday.
BAE’s technology solutions and services business will perform the services in support of the Naval Warfare Center Aircraft Divisions special communications mission solutions division.
The Navy obligated $2.1 million in aircraft procurement and working capital funds in fiscal years 2015, 2016 and 2017 at the time of award.
DoD expects the company to finish work in December 2018.
