BAE Systems‘ land and armaments business has secured a $339.1M contract modification to provide additional self-propelled howitzers and accompanying carrier ammunition tracked vehicles to the U.S. Army.
The service branch ordered 48 vehicle sets and associated support through the modification, the Department of Defense said Monday.
BAE initially received a $133.6M contract in April 2017 to obtain materials necessary for the company to produce M109A7 and M992A3 platforms.
The Army obligated the full amount of the modification and estimated the company will finish work by Jan. 31, 2023.
