BAE Systems Inc. has secured a potential five-year, $188.2M contract to help a U.S. Navy organization engineer, integrate and test certain systems aboard surface combatant ships.
The company said Monday it will support the service branch's Aegis Technical Representative organization in engineering, integration and test work on weapons and combat systems.
Services will include on-site management, production, logistics, maintenance and cybersecurity work at naval facilities located in Pascagoula, Miss.; Mt. Laurel, N.J.; and Bath, Maine.
Mark Keeler, vice president and general manager of BAE’s integrated defense solutions business, said the company has supported the service branch over the past four decades and helped modernize surface vessels equipped with the Aegis combat system.
The company received the task order under the National Institutes of Health’s Chief Information Officer–Solutions and Partners 3 contract.
