A BAE Systems business arm has secured a potential five-year, $319 million single-award contract from the Defense Information Systems Agency to deliver Military Code-capable GPS receivers to the U.S. Army.
BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration will provide Miniature-PLGR-Engine-M-code cards and incidental software updates under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Department of Defense said Monday.
The MPE-M cards feature next-generation modernized security architecture to protect the Army’s ground assets against spoofing and jamming.
The contract has a two-year base period of performance and three option years, which would extend efforts to September 2028 if exercised.
The first delivery order is worth nearly $494,270 and will be financed with the Army’s fiscal 2023 other procurement and research, development, test and evaluation funds.
