BAE Systems Books $121.4M Army Bradley Production Contract Modification

The U.S. Army has awarded BAE Systems Land and Armaments $121.4 million to produce M2A4 and M7A4 Bradley vehicles.

The Department of Defense on Thursday said the York, Pennsylvania-based company secured a contract modification to procure more armored vehicles made from inducted legacy source variants.

The program’s place of performance will be determined with each order. Work on the vehicles is expected to be completed by May 31, 2026.

The Army Contracting Command at Detroit Arsenal in Michigan serves as the contracting activity.

The award comes a year after BAE Systems received a $128.7 million contract modification to produce M2A4 and M7A4 ground armored vehicles.

The land and armaments business unit of the defense contractor has been manufacturing Bradley for the U.S. Army for years, including in 2018 when the company won a one-year, $347.9 million contract for 473 units of the M2A4 and M7A4A variants.

The Army’s fleet of Bradley fighting vehicles has been deployed in the Middle East during the Persian Gulf War and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
