BAE Systems has won a potential $104.8M indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide technical and engineering support for various systems installed at shore facilities and aboard surface combatants of the U.S. Navy.
The company will engineer radio technology along with command, control, communications, computers, combat systems, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems used by all Navy vessels including subsurface ships, noncombatant vessels and U.S. Coast Guard ships, the Department of Defense said Monday.
Shipboard work will mainly revolve around the Coast Guard™s Aegis guided-missile destroyers.
Sixty percent of the overall effort will occur in California and Maryland while the remaining 40 percent will take place at various locations within the continental U.S.
Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division received one offer for the IDIQ and will obligate funds upon issuance of each order.
The Pentagon expects work to be completed in April 2025.
