BAE Systems‘ land and armaments business has secured a three-year, $400.9M contract modification to manufacture 160 Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicles for the U.S. Army.
The Department of Defense said Tuesday work under the modification will occur in York, Pa., Feb. 28, 2023.
Army Contracting Command used the service branch’s European reassurance initiative, defense and weapons and tracked combat vehicle procurement funds to cover the full obligated amount.
The company initially received a $382.6M contract in late 2015 to provide five variants of the AMPV platform.
AMPV is designed to replace the Army’s M113 Family of Vehicles and address combat overmatch requirements.
