BAE Systems has received an initial order under a multiple-award contract to upgrade components of the U.S. Army’s common ground infrastructure for intelligence operations.
BAE won a spot in February on the potential $823M Distributed Common Ground System-Army modernization contract and the company said Thursday that it will support the DCGS Capability Drop 2 program with its Intelligence Knowledge Environment.
IKE is a software framework that can autonomously convert data into knowledge using artificial intelligence-based analytic capabilities and modular data. The framework was developed by the company at its San Diego-based site.
“With a focus on a user-centric analyst experience, IKE rapidly transforms data into intelligence in an easy to learn and scalable manner,” said Dave Logan, vice president and general manager of C4ISR systems at BAE Systems. “It helps analysts translate information into actionable intelligence using a collection of tools – some interactive, others that operate autonomously – to enhance the effectiveness of the analyst.”
BAE said the Capability Drop model helps the Army facilitate agile acquisition to accelerate the integration of technology updates into DCGS.
