Washington, D.C.-based technology company Babel Street has appointed former senior government officials Robert Ashley, David Glaser, Ellen McCarthy and Harry Wetherbee to its newly formed board of advisers.
They will advise Babel Street’s leadership team on approaches to help customers apply its artificial intelligence-based analytics platform in defense, intelligence and law enforcement missions., Babel Street said Tuesday.
Ashley, a retired U.S. Army lieutenant general and two-time Wash100 Award recipient, previously led the Defense Intelligence Agency and held senior intelligence roles at the service branch.
During his 36-year Army career, Glaser held various roles such as deputy commanding general of Homeland Defense Headquarters and executive lead for defense forensic and biometric activities.
The former provost marshal general and retired major general serves on the homeland security policy committee of the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
McCarthy, a 2017 Wash100 awardee, previously worked as assistant secretary of the State Department’s Bureau of Intelligence and Research and served as the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s chief operating officer.
Wetherbee led major elements across multiple offices and field locations during his career within the intelligence community.
