Aurex has completed the acquisition of Alpha 2, a provider of advanced encryption, cybersecurity and cryptographic engineering services, as part of efforts to expand its mission-critical technology portfolio.
Why Did Aurex Acquire Alpha 2?
Aurex said Monday the Alpha 2 acquisition broadens its technical capabilities, enabling it to meet growing demands for secure and reliable communications and cryptographic systems in response to evolving global security requirements and the increasing importance of space-based operations. The deal was completed with backing from Godspeed Capital, which invests in companies serving government and defense customers.
What Does Alpha 2 Bring to Aurex?
Alpha 2 contributes secure communications capabilities and advanced cryptography, including encryption technologies, supporting mission-critical space, defense and intelligence systems. Alpha 2’s engineering and cybersecurity teams will also join Aurex, strengthening the company’s ability to deliver integrated offerings across secure communications, encryption, and space-based national security systems.
“Bringing Alpha 2’s highly experienced team and specialized capabilities into the Aurex platform meaningfully expands our ability to deliver trusted, secure communications and cryptographic engineering solutions,” said Warren Kohm, CEO of Aurex. “As threats to our nation become more sophisticated, mission assurance depends on technologies that are resilient, agile, and purpose-built for the most sensitive national security environments.”
