Atlas Research Backs VHA's Use of Innovative Approaches to Prevent Veteran Suicide; Kevin Ripp Quoted

Atlas Research participated in a House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs roundtable held Tuesday.

As part of Atlas Research’s work with Veterans Health Administration Innovation Ecosystem, the company supported VHA as it showcased innovative approaches to reduce veteran suicide.

“We saw an opportunity to raise the profile of the VHA Innovation Ecosystem Operational Model, a repeatable framework for managing innovation and engaging stakeholders at each phase in the lifecycle,” Kevin Ripp, vice president of innovation and modernization at Atlas Research, said in a statement.

“The Subcommittee on Technology Modernization chose to focus on technology innovation making an impact on suicide prevention and we were able to showcase practices making an impact across VHA,” Ripp added.

The roundtable hosted by Rep. Susie Lee, D-Nev., discussed the efforts of the Department of Veterans Affairs to offer suicide risk reduction and behavioral health support to veterans through emerging technology, innovation and research.
