Advanced Technology Institute has won a potential five-year, $100 million “other transaction” agreement from the U.S. Air Force to oversee a consortium of commercial, nonprofit and academic organizations to develop space-related technology prototypes.
The ATI-led Space Enterprise Consortium will aim to build ground, launch and space segment, software, processes and combined systems that can support Defense Department space missions, DoD said Thursday.
ATI will serve as the consortium manager and implement efforts to attract, retain and mentor members to help them form teaming arrangements as well as address individual prototpying projects the Air Force will solicit on behalf of DoD customers, according to a FedBizOpps summary.
