Sig Sauer has won a potential 10-year, $580.2 million contract to supply the U.S. Army with a new handgun system designed to replace the service branchs M9 pistol.
The Army Contracting Command received nine proposals for the Modular Handgun System contract and expects work to conclude on Jan. 19, 2027, the Defense Departmentsaid Thursday.
The firm-fixed-price contract also covers ammunition and accessories.
The military branch will determine the work location and funds upon award of each task order, according to DoD.
