The Enhanced Night Vision Goggle – Binocular system is designed to automate the transmission of data and imagery to military users for target acquisition as well as soldier protection and mobility, L3Harris said Thursday.
ENVG-B will include a modern high-resolution display, an embedded wireless network and augmented reality algorithms that can interoperate with the Army’s Nett Warrior situational awareness platform.
In a separate announcement, Elbit Systems of America said it received an initial $22.5M order under the OTA to begin low-rate initial production of the googles.
The two companies’ ENVG-B offerings will go through qualification procedures such as system and field tests.
