Fluor‘s (NYSE: FLR) enterprises business unit has won a potential $831 million contract from the U.S. Army to build structures necessary to restore power in Puerto Rico.
The Army Corps of Engineers solicited nine bids for the time-and-materials contract and subsequently received two responses, the Defense Departmentsaid Friday.
USACE obligated the full contract amount at the time of award from fiscal 2018 Department of Homeland Security funds.
The Pentagon expects the company to finish work by Feb. 28, 2018.
Fluor currently works with USACE’s South Atlantic Division to support Puerto Rico’s electric power restoration efforts as part of a $240 million task order awarded in October.
