The U.S. Army has issued a request for proposals for a potential 10-year, $82 billion contract that seeks to provide logistics and facility support services for service component and geographical combatant commands.
A FedBizOpps notice posted Nov. 20 says the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program V contract has a base term of five years and five option years and covers engineering, setting the theater support, transportation, base camp services, supply operations and maintenance services.
Subcomponents of such services include minor construction; facility management; morale, welfare and recreation services; billeting; and food services.
The Army Contracting Command plans to award up to six indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts by Sept. 13, 2018 under LOGCAP V that will replace LOGCAP IV, Qatar Base Operations and Security Services and Kuwait Base Operations and Security Services contracts.
Task orders for setting the theater operations will have a one-year base period and nine option years, while performance task orders will have a base term of one year and four one-year options.
Responses to the RFP are due Jan. 22, according to the notice.
The release of the RFP came a month after PAE and Parsonsformed a joint venture to compete for the LOGCAP V contract and a day before the Army issued a solicitation for the Mobile Protected Firepower combat vehicle program.
