The U.S. Army has issued a solicitation for a potential $99 million multiple award task order contract to provide design build services for the Charleston District SAC’s program to meet the construction, repair and renovation needs of the Department of Veterans Affairs over the next five years.
The Design-Build MATOC is a 100 percent set-aside program for service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses and is a two-phase acquisition initiative with a target pool of five contractors, according to the solicitation notice published Friday.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will evaluate proposals from potential offerors under the initial phase and select up to eight vendors that will move to the second phase.
USACE said the contract will require vendors to perform work on fixed-price task orders to support construction activities within the required scope.
“Each task order will be subject to the fair opportunity process, and all contractors within the MATOC pool will be able to submit a task order proposal for each requirement,” the notice reads.
