The U.S. Army has begun to seek information on potential vendors that can provide commercial off-the-shelf hardware as it works to develop the scope and structure of the Information Technology Enterprise Solutions-4 Hardware procurement vehicle.
A request for information posted Thursday says Army Contracting Command wants the ITES-4H vehicle to support the service branch’s enterprise infrastructure goals with a full range of IT equipment and platforms.
The contractor should provide all the equipment listed in nine catalogs: UNIX based servers; non-UNIX based servers; workstations, thin clients, desktops and notebooks; storage systems; networking equipment; imaging equipment and support devices; cables, connectors and accessories; video equipment products; and uninterruptible power supplies.
The ITES-4H vehicle also includes non-catalog items such as software, biometric devices and digital senders as well as related incidental services including system configuration and integration, physical site analysis installation and relocation and high availability configuration.
