The U.S. Army has opened an industry competition for a potential 10-year, $5 billion governmentwide acquisition contract covering a wide range of desktop and mobile computing systems and peripherals, Fedscoop reported Wednesday.
Billy Mitchell writes the service branch will select three suppliers for the Army Desktop and Mobile Computing-3 contract vehicle’s full-and-open track and choose five vendors for a small business set-aside portion.
The program seeks providers of desktop and integrated desktop computers, notebooks, tablets, workstations, electronic displays, slate and ultra thin clients, printers and multifunction devices, according to a FedBizOpps notice posted Tuesday.
Submissions to the solicitation will close on June 6.
ADMC-3 is a follow-on to the Desktop and Mobile Computing-2 contract that the service branch launched in April 2006 and extended in April for an additional one-and-a-half years under a potential $675 million contract modification.
Dell, HPI, CDW, Emtec Federal, ITG, NCS, Telos and Transource are the suppliers on the ADMC-2 vehicle.
