Oshkosh's (NYSE: OSK) defense segment has received a $888.4M contract modification from the U.S. Army to manufacture additional Joint Light Tactical Vehicle vehicles, trailers and kits.
Army Contracting Command issued the modification to exercise options for the supply of 2,679 vehicles, 6,725 kits and 1,001 trailers to military customers, the Department of Defense said Monday.
The full obligated amount is from Army, Marine Corps, Navy and Air Force procurement funds. Work will take place in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, through Oct. 31, 2022.
In February, Oshkosh Defense secured a $407.3M contract to build JLTVs for the Army, Marines and the governments of Slovenia and Lithuania under the foreign military sales program. The manufacturer received a $61.8M modification in June to increase trailer options for the JLTV Family of Vehicles.
Oshkosh's JLTV is designed to support off-road mobility and features command center elements with a plug-and-play framework, according to the company.
